Chelsea handed Nicolas Jackson transfer update as fresh exit route emerges amid £77m claim

Nicolas Jackson is still facing an uncertain future with Chelseaas the summer transfer window rolls on. The Blues' striker has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge following a busy summer transfer window.

Enzo Maresca has strengthened up his forward options with the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap. As a result, Jackson has been widely tipped to leave Chelsea this summer before the transfer window closes.

A report from The Mirror claimed that Chelsea had now set a valuation of £50million for Jackson this summer, although it remains to be seen if any clubs would be prepared to meet that price. Newcastle United have been heavily linked with signing him - while there are also reports that AC Milan are interested in the Chelsea forward.

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Jackson's future at Chelsea and where the striker could end up once the September 1 deadline arrives around. "Nicolas Jackson is expected to leave Chelsea," Romano said on his latest YouTube video.

"The decision is okay on both player and club side. So still looking for opportunities.

"Some interest from Newcastle United, but still no bid. Still some interest from Premier League clubs [who are] in active conversations for Jackson, but keep an eye also on Italy as a possibility for Nicolas Jackson.

"I told you he was on the list of AC Milan in the beginning of July, he remains a player appreciated by someone at AC Milan and they will sign a striker this summer, for sure.

"Rasmus Hojlund is an option on loan - with a buy option - while Dusan Vlahovic is an option being considered. Another option could be Jackson, in case the conditions of the deal is acceptable for Milan. They will never pay €80million (£69million) or €90million (£77.6million) for Jackson.

"So all conditions of the deal are good and so Milan can sit to the table, and go for Jackson, but at the moment, Milan have been informed that Jackson could potentially be available.

"Milan are aware of the situation and love Nicolas Jackson, consider him as a fantastic striker but at the moment, the financial point is the crucial one to understand if it's going to be happening or not.

"But they won't pay €80million (£69million)."
