The latest episode of saw a new character vow to expose Tom King on the soap, as he continued to torment Belle Dingle.

Ahead of Nicola King appearing to figure out the truth about the abuser, another character confirmed they were backing Belle on Wednesday night. DS Foy made a plea to Belle after she was caught breaking her bail conditions, and he urged her to take caution otherwise she might end up in prison.

DS Foy first headed to the village recently after Tom was attacked and almost died. Belle initially claimed to know nothing about it, but soon she handed herself into the police and revealed she attacked Tom with an axe.

She revealed it was in self-defence, before confirming she was a victim of domestic violence at the hands of Tom. Tom had coercively controlled her, manipulated her and isolated her from her loved ones for months, becoming increasingly controlling.

Tom then turned violent and after Belle left him, he began spying on her, harassing her and tried to make it seem that she was having a breakdown. In a recent episode he held her against her will before trying to kill her, leading to her attack.

Since then Belle has been struggling to cope, with her facing prison for the attack amid the heartbreaking loss of her father Zak Dingle. With her mental health spiralling, Tom is using this to get to her and to make out that Belle's abuse claims were all in her head.

When Belle broke her bail conditions this week and confronted Tom, he wasted no time in contacting Foy and having her questioned. On Wednesday she was taken into police custody, where she admitted what had happened and shared her fears Tom was going to get away with everything.

It's then that DS Foy backed Belle and made a plea, as he admitted he believed her. Foy told Belle he trusted what she was saying, and believed everything she had told them about Tom and the abuse.

With them still unable to find the missing iPad that could prove some of what Tom had done and that he is covering something up, unaware Tom has destroyed it, Foy begged Belle to be careful. He urged her to think again before going anywhere near her ex, as it could land her in a cell.

He warned that if she broke her conditions again she might face prison. He added that if it was proven she was of sound mind, they would have no choice but to arrest her.

Belle was clearly in turmoil with later scenes sparking concern for her wellbeing, while Foy made it clear to Belle he believed her. So with Foy eager to bring down Tom and get justice for Belle, is this the moment Tom's end will finally arrive?
