When bestselling memoir Spare was released, the public was given never-before-seen insight into the private lives of the , the inner workings of Harry's mind, and an in-depth look at his love story with his wife
Whilst the allegations made about the senior royals captured most of the public's attention after the memoir's release, Spare contained a bevy of revealing details about the Duke of Sussex's private life - including one story about a surprising A-list pal of Harry's that once lent him a seriously high profile Halloween costume.
Not many people would likely have known that Prince Harry was good enough friends with movie star to ask for such a favour, but the A-lister and star of Peaky Blinders, Legend and Mad Max: Fury Road - amongst many other hit titles - was clearly more than happy to oblige.
The party took place back in 2016, and Harry attended with Princess Eugenie and her now-husband, Jack Brooksbank, at the Toronto branch of Soho House - a members club. The theme was Apocalypse, and Harry noted in his memoir that he had "not had great luck with themed fancy-dress parties, but I'd give it another go,' - nodding to the now-infamous Nazi costume he wore to a costume party back in 2005.

Harry explained that he called up pal Tom Hardy and asked him if there were any way he could borrow the actor's costume from Mad Max: Fury Road. "The whole thing?" Hardy said in response, to which Harry replied: "Yes, please, mate! The whole kit". "He'd given it all to me before I left Britain," Harry wrote, "and now I tried it on in Meg's little bathroom. When I came out, she roared with laughter. It was funny. And a little scary. But the main thing was: I was unrecognizable." For his then-girlfriend's part, Meghan opted for "torn black shorts, a camo top, fishnet stockings. If that's the Apocalypse, I thought, bring on the end of the ."
Harry went on to describe the night of revelry the pair enjoyed together, where many people in attendance noticed Meghan - the star of the hit show Suits at the time - but he managed to get through the evening completely incognito, all thanks to the costume so kindly lent to him by his movie-star friend. Harry described just how meaningful the night of anonymity was to him, explaining he wished that it would have been possible to "wear this disguise every day."
