Bihar Public Service Commission has issued an official notification for recruitment to the posts of Principal and Associate Professor in Engineering and Polytechnic Colleges. As per the notification issued, a total of 564 posts of Principal and Associate Professor will be recruited, out of which 539 posts are reserved for Associate Professor and 25 posts for Principal. Candidates who want to apply for these posts can visit the official website of BPSC. Let us tell you, the application process for these posts will start from August 18. Also, interested and eligible candidates can apply through online mode till September 12, 2025.
Educational Qualification
To apply for the post of Principal, candidates must have a PhD degree in the relevant field. Apart from this, candidates should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which a minimum of 3 years of experience should be equivalent to the post of Professor.
To apply for the post of Associate Professor, candidates must have a PhD degree in the relevant field. Also, the candidates should have work experience.
Age limit
The minimum age of the candidates to apply for the post of Principal is 37 years, and the maximum age is 65 years. Apart from this, the minimum age of the candidates to apply for the post of Associate Professor is 30 years, and the maximum age is 65 years.
Pay scale
The candidates selected for the post of Principal will be given a salary of Rs 1,44,200 per month, and the candidates selected for the post of Associate Professor will be given a salary of Rs 1,31,40 per month.
Application fee
To apply, the candidates will also have to pay the application fee. The application fee for general candidates is Rs 100, for Bihar State Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe, permanent resident female candidates of Bihar State, and Divyang candidates, the application fee is Rs 25.
