JNU has released the first merit list for UG and COP courses, which students can check from the official website till July 26. The process of admission and document verification will start from July 30.
There is big news for the students waiting for admission in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The university has released the first merit list for its Undergraduate (UG) and Certificate of Proficiency (COP) courses. Now all those students who had applied for admission can check the merit list by visiting the official website jnuee.jnu.ac.in using their login details.
View merit list till July 26
According to the official notification of JNU, the last date to view the first merit list is July 26, 2025. Students will see their name, category, marks obtained as well as the name of the concerned subject and university in the list. This list determines which students will be able to get admission in the prestigious courses of JNU.
Admission and verification process starts from July 30
After the release of the merit list, the next step is admission registration and document verification. The JNU administration has made it clear that this process will start from July 30 for UG courses, while for COP courses it will start from August 4.
Students will have to come to JNU campus for physical verification. Also, the fixed admission fee will have to be paid to complete the admission process. Students who will not participate in this process, their seats will be given to other candidates in the further merit list.
Second merit list will come on August 1
There is also a second chance for those students whose names have not come after the first list. JNU has announced that the second merit list for admission will be released on August 1, 2025. In such a situation, the students who have not got a chance yet can wait for the next list.

Click on the link ‘JNU UG/COP 2025 1st Merit List’.
Enter your application number and password.
Your merit list will appear on the screen.
Download it and take a printout for future reference.
