According to this report, problems like political instability and gang wars are more common in some countries, which can put the safety of students at serious risk.

These unsafe countries include Venezuela, Papua New Guinea, Haiti, Afghanistan and South Africa. The security situation here is so bad that foreign students can risk their lives here.

Venezuela
Venezuela, which is struggling with political instability these days, is considered the most dangerous and unsafe country in the world. Although some universities of Venezuela have got a place in the QS Latin America University Ranking, one should still avoid taking admission here. Venezuela's highest-ranked institution is the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), which ranks 28th in Latin America.
