Along with this, the Directorate of Education, Delhi has also released the academic calendar for the academic session 2025-26 for students studying in government and government-aided schools.

According to the academic calendar, the summer vacation of the children will end on June 30. But teachers will have to report to the schools two days earlier on April 28. It has also been told in the calendar that admissions in classes VI to VIII will be done at the school level throughout the year. While non-planned admissions will be in three cycles and registration for these will also be done in three phases.

Winter vacation from January 1

The Directorate of Education, Delhi has also declared autumn vacation. This holiday will be from September 29 to October 1. Whereas, the winter holidays will be from January 1 to January 15, 2026.
