Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Saddened by the death of innocent people in the Pahalgam terror attack, citizens of the state capital continue to express their rage through protests while paying tributes to the victims.
On Sunday, people held protests and paid tributes to the victims at three places in the city. A group of Muslim women staged a protest against the terror attack at Idgah Hills and demanded strictest action against the terrorists.
Holding placards with slogans –‘Pakistan murdabad, atankwad murdabad, ‘kill terrorists in their homes’ and ‘we want one more strike’, the women expressed their anger against Pakistan.
The protesters said that they had full faith in the country’s leadership and felt that the death of innocent victims would soon be avenged. All terrorists in Kashmir should be flushed out so that the people could live in peace, they added.
A group of citizens under Madhya Pradesh Sarvdharm Sadbhawna Manch held a candlelight vigil at Shaheed Gate.
The religious leaders of all faiths participated in it and said that the attack on innocent tourists was the murder of humanity.
Praying for the peace of the departed souls, they said that terrorists and their supporters should be strictly dealt with. Members of the Jewellers' Association in Chowk also paid tributes to the terror attack victims.
The jewellers assembled at Gujarati Bhawan where they paid their condolences to those killed in the attack. It is worth mentioning that earlier on Saturday, a Bhopal Bandh was organised by citizens and traders in protest against the Pahalgam terror attack.
