This meeting underscores the ICC's commitment to fostering relationships with other major sports organizations, aiming to elevate cricket's profile on the global stage. Earlier this year, Shah also met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino during the 144th IOC Session in Greece, highlighting his proactive approach in promoting cricket worldwide.
The Champions League final itself is a landmark event, featuring PSG and Inter Milan, and marks the first final since 2004 without representation from English, Spanish, or German clubs. The match is set to be the first UEFA Champions League final played under the Swiss system format.

Standing between them and glory is a revitalised Paris Saint-Germain side. Under the guidance of Luis Enrique, PSG have undergone a transformation. PSG have already wrapped up the Ligue 1 title and added the Coupe de France to their cabinet. Now, they stand on the brink of a historic treble, something no French club has ever achieved. Their last appearance in the final came in 2020, but this version of PSG may well be their most complete yet.
