In a touching gesture by a train motorman who stopped the train to pass alongside an elephant who was giving birth near railway tracks proves that humanity still exists. The incident took place in Jharkhand a couple of days back. The viral video emotes powerful message of animals and humans peaceful coexistence. Motorman's timely decision is getting praised on the Internet.
The viral video shows an elephant giving birth to a calf near the railway tracks as the passengers and railway staff patiently waits. In another video, the elephant can be seen walking with its little one back into the forest, after giving birth.
Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav shared the video on X (formerly Twitter), praising the sensitivity shown by railway staff and forest officials. He wrote, "Beyond the news of human-animal conflicts, happy to share this example of human-animal harmonious existence. A train in Jharkhand waited for two hours as an elephant delivered her calf. The shows how the two later walked on happily."

Government Spots 110 Sensitive Spots
Further in his post, Yadav wrote, "Following a whole-of government approach, @MOEFCC and @RailMinIndia have identified more the 110 sensitive spots by surveying 3,500 km of railway tracks in the country. It is lovely to see the efforts producing such heart-warming results. Special kudos to @JharkhandVan officials for their sensitivity which helped the elephant deliver her young one."
