Mumbai: A shocking incident took place in Mumbai's Borivali region where a 30-year-old man was killed and another was severely injured when a car parking lift fell into a 7-metre-deep pit at a residential high-rise in Borivali West on Saturday morning.
The event took place at approximately 11:08 am at Om Prathamesh Building, a 21-story structure located on Link Road. The Mumbai Fire Brigade reported that the two individuals were stuck under the fallen lift platform and were rescued by fire staff.

The police van hurried both to BDBA Shatabdi Hospital. Shubham Madamlal Dhuri was pronounced dead on arrival, while 45-year-old Sunjeet Yadav, who had a head injury, was sent for a CT scan.

The incident took place at approximately 11:18 am at the 21-story building Om Prathamesh on Link Road in Borivali West. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), two individuals were ensnared under the fallen life platform and were rescued by firefighters. Authorities from the police and fire departments are investigating the reason behind the collapse.
