A chilling global terror collaboration has emerged in connection with the deadly Pahalgam attack, involving the Palestine-based Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas. Intelligence inputs shared with India reveal that Hamas provided training in camps located in Rawalakot, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), operated by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), with direct support from Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
The global intel-sharing mechanism exposed this coordinated terror ecosystem, where Hamas leaders released by Israel reportedly traveled to Pakistan in February. They were escorted to PoK to meet LeT and JeM leadership.
This visit followed Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh seeking Pakistan’s assistance in its conflict with Israel. During their stay, the Hamas delegation visited JeM’s headquarters in Bahawalpur and a newly-inaugurated Pakistan Army facility housing a combat simulation center.
Intel inputs identified Hamas spokespersons Dr. Khalid Qaddoumi and Dr. Naji Zaheer, along with senior figures Mufti Azam and Bilal Alsallat, who held meetings with Pakistan-based terror outfit leaders including JeM chief Masood Azhar’s brother Talha Saif, JeM commander Asghar Khan Kashmiri, Masood Ilyas, and senior LeT commanders. These meetings were conducted under the banner “Kashmir Solidarity and Hamas Operation Al Aqsa Flood,” aimed at projecting Kashmir and Palestine as fronts of a unified pan-Islamic jihad.
“Hamas appealed to the Ummah to unite against India and Israel, portraying both nations as aggressors against Muslims,” revealed an intel memo shared with security agencies in the Kashmir Valley.
Another senior Hamas figure addressed a rally on ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ in Rawalakot, PoK, attended by top LeT and JeM cadres.
Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, drew stark parallels between the terror attack near the popular Baisaran meadow—about six kilometers from the resort town of Pahalgam in Anantnag district, south Kashmir, where 26 civilians were killed—and the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel, where over 1,400 people died.
“The terrorists are collaborating at all levels, trying to be copycats and inspiring each other. Innocent tourists were enjoying their vacation in Pahalgam, just like people were celebrating a music festival in Israel when terrorists struck,” said Ambassador Azar.
This global intelligence cooperation has exposed a new phase of collaboration among terror outfits, centered on global jihad, shared ideology, training camps, and weapon supplies for coordinated attacks.
Another intel alert, dated last October, detailed similar collaboration between Hamas, ISIS, and Jamatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in Dhaka, aimed at spreading radical ideologies in India’s northeastern states.
The radical event in Dhaka was hosted by the Islamist organization Al Markazul Islami, founded by Mufti Shahidul Islam—linked directly to al-Qaeda. The event featured Hamas leaders Sheikh Khaled Quddumi and Political Bureau Chairman Sheikh Khaled Mishal, along with Pakistani clerics Shaikhul Islam Mufti Taqi Usmani and Maulana Fazlur Rahman.
