Lucknow: Two new Amrit Bharat Express trains will begin operations from Gomti Nagar Railway Station in Lucknow, following their official launch by the Prime Minister. One of the services will run to Malda Town in West Bengal, and the other to Darbhanga in Bihar. A third train, also flagged off, will run from Motihari in Bihar to Delhi Anand Vihar via Lucknow.
Initially, all three services will operate once a week, with plans to make them regular based on demand. Each train will run at a maximum speed of 130 kmph and consist of 22 coaches in sleeper and general class configurations. Facilities for differently abled passengers have been included in the modern coach designs.
Malda Town-Gomti Nagar Express will depart Malda every Thursday at 7:25 PM and arrive in Gomti Nagar by Friday afternoon at 3:40 PM. The return journey will begin Friday evening at 6:40 PM and conclude in Malda by
Saturday evening. Key stops include New Farakka, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Varanasi, and Ayodhya Cantt.
Darbhanga–Gomti Nagar Express, train number 15561, will depart every Saturday at 3:00 PM and arrive in Gomti Nagar by Sunday at 5:35 AM. The return train (15562) will leave Gomti Nagar on Sunday at 8:15 AM and reach Darbhanga by 12:35 AM the next day. This service will halt at over 15 stations, including Raxaul, Gorakhpur, and Ayodhya Dham.
The Motihari-Anand Vihar Express will begin operations as a special train on July 18, departing Motihari at 11:45 AM and reaching Lucknow at 11:35 PM, before heading to Delhi the next morning.

It also hosts a Vande Bharat Express to Patna that runs six days a week, in addition to services to Katihar, Kamakhya, Gorakhpur, and Jaipur.
