Mumbai: A coal-laden goods train traveling from Jalgaon to Surat derailed this afternoon near Amalner station under the Mumbai Central Division of Western Railway. The incident occurred at approximately 2:18 PM when the train was moving from the loop line to the main line toward Surat.
A total of seven wagons, including the locomotive, went off the tracks, leading to a complete blockage of both UP and DN lines. The derailed train was carrying coal meant for GNC near Gandhinagar.

Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported. Railway authorities confirmed that all efforts are being made to restore normal train operations as swiftly as possible. According to officials, the cause of the derailment will be clear only after the completion of the enquiry.
Immediately after the derailment, Accident Relief Trains were dispatched from Nandurbar, Udhna, and Bhusawal to assist in the restoration process. Senior railway officials have reached the site and are overseeing operations.
