A Reddit post by a Bengaluru man has gone viral, sparking widespread amazement after he shared his experience with an auto driver who used the meter to calculate the fare instead of verbally offering high-priced rates. In a city where auto rickshaw fares are reportedly subject to overpricing, the passenger was pleasantly surprised when the charge for his 11-kilometre ride totalled just a little more than ₹111.
The man took to Reddit, captioning his post, “Good auto drivers still exist in Bengaluru”. He revealed he was billed ₹170 for the trip.
