School Admission Online Application Date Extended: Under this Act, the Bihar government is running the process of online enrollment in two phases for the academic session 2025-26. In the first phase, enrollment of more than 1640 children has been successfully completed in 364 private schools of Rohtas district so far. At the same time, the process of the second phase has also started. The date of online application for enrollment has also been extended. Now you can apply till 19 April.
Getting equal opportunity and quality education to every child is no longer just a dream, but a step changing into reality. Under Section 12 (1) (C) of the Right to Education Act (RTE) 2009, now children of deprived and economically weaker sections are getting a chance to study in those reputed private schools, which till now were considered limited only to the affluent class. This initiative is not only a strong step towards equality in the field of education, but is also realizing social justice and inclusiveness. This has given a new hope to thousands of families for the bright future of their children.
The Education Department has extended the application date
The Bihar government is running the process of online enrollment in two phases for the academic session 2025-26 under this Act. In the first phase, enrollment of more than 1640 children has been successfully completed so far in 364 private schools of the district. This figure shows that needy families are now becoming aware of this scheme and are actively coming forward to provide better education to their children. Currently the process of the second phase is going on, in which 780 applications have been received so far. The Education Department has extended the last date for online application till April 19 with the aim of giving more time to the parents, so that no eligible family is deprived of this opportunity.
Apply on this portal for enrollment
Under this scheme, parents belonging to DG (Disadvantaged Group) and EWS (Economically Weaker Section) can apply online through Gyandeep Portal (http://gyandeeponline.bihar.gov.in). After application, document verification of registered students will be done till 21st April. Thereafter, schools will be allotted through lottery on 25th April and selected children will be enrolled between 26th and 30th April.
Children will get essential facilities for free
The government has also ensured that along with education, textbooks, uniforms and other essential facilities will also be provided completely free of cost to the selected students, so that the education of any child does not stop due to any obstacle. The Education Department has directed all the District Education Officers and Program Officers to ensure that they provide maximum benefit of this scheme to the eligible children. Also, the department has requested all the parents to apply soon without waiting for the last date so that their children can get quality education and move towards a bright future.
