Channel 4 viewers were left in shock during tonight's Great British Bake Offas they claimed the show's challenges had gone 'too far'.
The nine remaining bakers were tasked with making canteen favourite flapjacks by Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith before being tested with a school cake technical for school themed week - but it wasn't as simple as it sounds.
Fans were left in shock when it was revealed that the bakers must make their own sprinkles for their school cake.

The bakers themselves were left in shock as they struggled with the technique. Aaron exclaimed: "This should just be the challenge, to make sprinkles!"
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "Mad that you can actually MAKE sprinkles. I thought they just appeared on the shelves at Tesco!"
Another wrote: "Homemade sprinkles is psycho s**t it didn't even occur to me that you could even make them at home...," while a third shocked fan wrote: "Making them make their own sprinkles is a step too far."
"Sprinkles from scratch, that’s ridiculous!" exclaimed another, while a fifth agreed: "I’m not saying that Bake Off has gone too far but making them make sprinkles is the most ridiculous thing they’ve ever made contestants do."
The judges and bakers even joked about the challenge at the end of the episode, as they exclaimed: "No one's going to make their own sprinkles ever again!"
Elsewhere, the contestants were asked to create a spectacular school fete showstopper full of nostalgic treats - but the heat got to much for drag king Jessika, who was eliminated from the show.
Jessika has impressed with her risk taking throughout the show, but this time, Prue declared that she had taken it one step too far. “The thing I have loved about Jessika all the way through is that she is very creative and she takes risks every single week. And I think she took the risk too far this week.”
“This was going to be my last year to apply and I feel chuffed that I made it to the tent. I have met some incredible talented inspiring bakers so it’s not all bad," she said.
As well as getting her bake on in the tent, Jessika wasted no time in getting to know host Alison Hammondwhile in the tent. “I know she loves hard-boiled sweets, so I got her a giant hard-boiled diamond ring and asked her in Spanish if she’d marry me," she joked.
“She was playing hard to get and, maybe out of kindness, said ‘yes’. I think Alison and I might technically be engaged now.”
Jessika will join hosts Jo Brand and Tom Allen on The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice on Friday September 26 on Channel 4 at 8pm.
