Tonight's episode of will see Matthew Gravelle star as Martin Gaffney. The star is known for his role in shows including Holby City, Torchwood and Belonging - but there's one role viewers may have forgotten about.
Matthew starred in the first three series of drama Broadchurch as murderer of 11-year-old . Joe had been meeting Danny for "cuddling sessions," and had been giving him money and a new phone. However, during their last meet up, Danny threatened to tell on Joe, and questioned why he couldn't do the things he did to him to his own son, Tom, instead.
This caused Joe to lose control during a fit of rage where he choked, and accidentally killed Danny. He then dumped Danny's body on the beach and tried to hide his crimes from the rest of the village.

Viewers were horrified by Matthew's character Joe and his actions. At the time, one viewer took to X, formerly known as Twitter to write: "god I'm rewatching the first season of Broadchurch with my aunt and mum AND JOE MILLER IS SUCH A F*****G MANBABY god damn way to be a gross murderer and act like a victim stop it."
Another penned: "Joe Miller did it, the creepy bald little freak ".

at the time, Matthew told the : “It’s alright. It’s only TV, isn’t it? It’s fine.” However, the father of two did admit that playing not only a murderer but a potential paedophile did toy with his mind.
“It does when you’re doing it,” he said carefully. “You’re aware that people are going to vilify you for the person that you’re playing.
"You never want to get it wrong, you want to be as true to someone who might potentially be like that as possible.
“He’s still ultimately not a good person. But you’ve got to be as sympathetic towards him as possible to see it from his point of view.”
On the third episode of Beyond Paradise, which fans will see Matthew guest star in, - played by Kris Marshall - and DS Esther Williams () will investigate as three customers have been poisoned after sampling confectionary at a chocolate shop.
