A Georgia mum has pleaded guilty to murder following the death of her eight year old daughter in 2021, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.
Brittany Hall, 31, was handed a life sentence after being convicted of felony murder, 11 counts of child cruelty, concealing a death and making false statements, the Gwinnett County District Attorney's Office announced.
Hall and her partner Celeste Owens, who in December was found guilty of 20 counts and sentenced to life plus 235 years, subjected Hall's three children to abuse and killed one. The youngster's malnourished body was subsequently discovered in nearby woodland.

Hall and Owens reported eight year old Amari Hall missing on 19 November 2021, the district attorney's office confirmed. The pair were staying in a hotel with Hall's three children, claiming that Amari had vanished from the room whilst they slept.
Officials revealed they became suspicious of their story after uncovering evidence suggesting they had been mistreating the children. CCTV footage from inside the hotel room captured the couple attacking all three youngsters, the district attorney's office stated, reports the Mirror US.
Authorities also discovered concerning internet searches on Owens' mobile phone, including "What to do when a child doesn't listen, Lakes near me, How do sewers on the streets work, Why do kids run away, How do I report someone missing" and "U-Haul: Customer Account."
CCTV footage revealed Owens hiring a U-Haul lorry and driving it to DeKalb County, situated on the east side of Atlanta. Amari's body was later discovered in the same county.
Authorities stated that Owens repeatedly hit Amari on the head, after which Hall assisted in concealing the crime. A medical examiner who testified during Owens' previous trial stated that the girl weighed only 54 pounds at the time of her death. They noted visible signs of abuse, including a lacerated liver.
"Something struck the outside of Amari's body and crushed her liver against her spine," Dr. Jamie Downs stated in December.
"She was found with three white bin bags around her. One had been slipped over her head and ended around her abdomen. The second covered her legs and stopped just short of her hips, and there was a third bin bag wrapped around her abdomen and torso area, tied with a black rope," added Gwinnett County crime scene investigator Kia Jimenez.
"You could still see her body through some of the bin bags. She wasn't fully covered. She did have cuts on her arms."
Owens was found guilty on 20 charges, including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault and child cruelty.
"The images that we have seen we will never be able to unsee, we will never be able to unhear the things that we did during this trial, and it is by far the worst case involving a child I have ever seen," Sabrina Nizam, the deputy chief assistant district attorney, told Atlanta News First.
"This mother failed to protect her children and joined in the abuse," Gwinnett County District Attorney Patsy Austin-Gatson said of Hall's sentencing in a statement on Wednesday. "This ended tragically. We continue to pray that her siblings can heal from the abuse they endured and that this plea brings closure to them and their extended family."
