In the opening Weatherbys With Venatour Racing Handicap, despite a 5lb rise ELMONJED (1.50) is taken to continue where he left off last term for William Haggas, when he won twice over this six furlong trip at Windsor and York.

Formerly a Sir Michael Stoute juvenile, NIGHTWALKER (2.25, nb) won a Yarmouth maiden in September before a strong performance in the Group 3 Autumn Stakes over a mile at HQ, when third behind Aidan O’Brien’s Delacroix, who went on to chase home Hotazhell in the William Hill Futurity Trophy at Doncaster.

Now making his debut for John and Thady Gosden in the Listed bet365 Feilden Stakes over a mile and a furlong, the Frankel colt is fully expected to have come on in leaps and bounds over the close season.

In the Group 3 Lanwades Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes over seven furlongs, VERSE OF LOVE (3.35) is hard to oppose, having won in impressive fashion over course and distance on her only start last October for Charlie Appleby.
