Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, who began his acting career in 2010 with the Yash Raj Films (YRF) production Band Baaja Baaraat opposite Anushka Sharma, has reportedly ended his association with the prestigious production house after more than a decade. Ranveer was first discovered by YRF’s casting director Shanoo Sharma, who played a key role in launching his career.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Shanoo Sharma addressed Ranveer’s departure from YRF’s talent management, saying it did not affect the management or strain their relationship. She stated, “His departure did not hurt anyone. He is moving on in his life. There must be a reason for his departure, but the production house has no problem with it.” Shanoo further emphasized that the entertainment business often sees such transitions as part of its natural cycle, and there is no bitterness involved. She also highlighted her personal friendship with Ranveer, reinforcing the amicable nature of his exit.
Ranveer left YRF’s talent management in 2022 and subsequently joined Collective Artists Network, which also manages Deepika Padukone’s career. During his time with YRF, Ranveer starred in many successful films, including Band Baaja Baaraat, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, Befikre, and Jayeshbhai Jordaar. More recently, he made a special cameo in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again.
Looking ahead, Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film Dhurandhar, a spy action thriller directed by Aditya Dhar, is set for a theatrical release on December 5, 2025. The star-studded cast includes Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and lead actress Sara Arjun. While the story details remain under wraps, Ranveer is expected to portray a covert spy, promising an exciting new chapter in his diverse career.
