Scarlett Johansson is gearing up to star in the mystery thriller film The Girl in the Lake, an adaptation of Lauren Oliver's latest novel. Alongside Scott Stuber, Johansson will also take on a producing role for the project.
Amazon MGM Studios has secured the rights to the film, which promises to delve into the adult mystery thriller genre. Oliver, a bestselling author known for her young adult novels, will write the script and serve as the executive producer.
Production will be handled by Stuber and Nick Nesbitt, along with Johansson and Jonathan Lia from These Pictures, and Marc Resteghini from Jack Tar Pictures. Panic was also adapted into a series by Amazon Studios.
