Evil killer Axel Rudakubana has made chilling threats against prison guards weeks after allegedly attacking a prison officer, according to reports. Rudakubana, 18, is said to now require five staff wearing riot gear when allowed out of his cell.
He was sentenced to a minimum of 52 years for murdering three young girls, injuring eight other children and seriously wounding two adults in a horrific attack in Southport on July 29 last year. Police are now investigating an alleged attack on a prison officer by Rudakubana, who allegedly threw boiling water over them.
An unnamed source has told The Sun that despite reports of the prison guard attack, Rudakubana's threats to staff have continued.
The source said threats are logged on a system and notes kept about the killer point to his being the "most dangerous prisoner" in the UK.
They said Rudakubana is "completely unrepentant" and far from being rehabilitated.
Rudakubana killed Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, Alice Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport.
He was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on January 23 for three counts of murder and 10 counts of attempted murder.
The killer was also sentenced for other offences including possession of terrorist material and possessing a knife. He had pleaded guilty to all 16 charges.
After the alleged prison guard attack, first reported by The Sun, concerns were renewed about the safety of prison guards.
Earlier this month, three police officers who confronted Rudakubana during his killing spree were honoured for their bravery.
Sergeant Gregory Gillespie, Constable Luke Holden and PCSO Timothy Parry were the first officers to arrive at the scene.
The Merseyside Police officers were the "overall winners" of the Police Federation of England and Wales' (PFEW) 2025 bravery awards
A public inquiry into the murders started in April.
