Britain's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell brought one Welsh woman's performance to an abrupt halt in the latest episode of the ITV show's audition rounds. Louise Hall, hailing from South Wales, was interrupted by Simon as she delivered her rendition on stage.
Louise introduced herself to the panel of judges-Simon, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli-as a teacher with a passion for singing. She expressed that winning Britain's Got Talent would be life-changing for her and her daughter. She admitted her nerves but emphasised her determination to win before commencing her performance.
However, mere moments into her first song, "Something Beautiful" by Jacob Banks, Simon interjected, asking: "Sorry, do you have a second song?"
Fortunately, Louise had another number prepared. Simon advised: "I think if you are going to do this, this obviously means a lot to you, I think you've really got to stop overthinking this for a second and just let go. That was kinda like, what I call a polite audition."
With a promise to "fight" for her chance, Louise launched into her second choice: "I'm Telling You" by Jennifer Hudson, and swiftly captivated most of the judges and the audience.
Following her performance, she was met with a standing ovation, and host Dec declared: "That was something else," reports
Bruno was evidently awestruck as he exclaimed: "Oh my God! The clarity and the projection of your voice, I've hardly ever heard. Only really the top top of the business has that clarity; it is incredible."
However, Simon wasn't immediately sold on the performance. He remarked, "Look, Louise, I like you. That was adrenaline, you just let go, you are very talented but I think, god, we have had better singers than you this year."
Louise's talent ultimately won over Simon, garnering her a yes vote and securing four yesses in total to progress to the next stage.

In another highlight, the four judges along with presenters Ant and Dec were seen delivering an enthusiastic six yeses after an unscheduled audition on the red carpet, which moved Amanda Holden to tears.
The broadcast kicked off featuring Amanda alongside her colleagues Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, and Alesha Dixon making a glamorous entrance on the red carpet, only to be left momentarily speechless as the audience burst into an unanticipated performance of Electric Light Orchestra's hit 'Mr Blue Sky.
BGT returns to ITV1, next Saturday at 7pm.
