Liverpool's to do list: Isak deal agreed as Palace raided and three stars sold

It's already been a huge summer in the transfer window for Liverpool FC. The club record signing of Florioz Wirtz has been supplemented by the arrivals of Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, and goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, and Arne Slot isn't done there.

The Dutchman is determined to continue building from a position of strength after winning the Premier League title last season. It's not just about incomings either, with a number of stars expected to be packing their bags before the new campaign gets underway. The Reds take on Crystal Palace in the Community Shield on August 10, and FSG still have much to finalise before the team steps out at Wembley.

£120m Isak deal agreed

If the Wirtz signified a statement signing, that the capture of Alexander Isak would threaten to blow domestic rivals out of the water. The club have already made an enquiry about the Swedish striker, with a view to a £120m bid.

While Hugo Ekitike is also being pursued, Isak is proven in England, and the player who would ensure Slot's side is also a serious Champions League contender. His resolve, and Newcastle's, must be tested until the point it snaps.

Speculation is mounting over the future of Ibrahima Konate. Liverpool should be ruthless and make the Frenchman's mind up for him by following through on their interest in Marc Guehi.

The England international has just a year left on his deal and is unlikely to be enamoured by the prospect of testing himself in the Europa Conference League. The Reds hold a lot of aces in their pursuit, and if it means raising their reported 'take it or leave it' offer of £45m, then so be it.

Cash in on current stars

Both Isak and Guehi remain realistic targets for Liverpool, but the respective transfer fees and PSR regulations mean funds will simply have to be raised elsewhere. That's why it's imperative that Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, and Harvey Elliott must be told this summer while they remain in demand.

Nunez has long been an outcast under Slot, but the perception remains that he has the potential to excel in Europe. Despite rejecting Bayern Munich's £58m bid for Diaz, Anfield chiefs can't afford to be too hard-nosed and price suitors out of the market.

Elliott's stock is currently high after his performances for England Under-21s this summer. He reportedly has a price tag of £50m, a valuation Liverpool may have to lower with West Ham now seemingly baulking on a bid.
