"Watching it, one realises how lucky we are to live without experiencing war, how little life was valued back then, and perhaps how fragile we are today, accustomed to modern comforts. We often think health is the most important thing, but this film shows there's something even more important: freedom."

Another added: "Just a must-watch about a war hero with focus. An everyday person making the nessesary sacrifices in war time, making him becoming the most decorated war hero in Norwegian history. The dilemmas, the difficulcies and the trauma about putting your life on hold at wartime. Very compelling and touching.
