The May half term in 2025 for schools in England and Wales is scheduled from May 26 to May 30. According to the from WXCharts, the rainy conditions will begin to hit parts of the country from May 22 and will continue to have an impact across the UK till May 28. It comes as the National Weather Agency predicted thundery weather for England and Wales on Tuesday before warmer conditions return on Wednesday.
The wet conditions will also push the temperature to 1C in some areas at the end of May. Maps show that the mercury levels will oscillate between 2 and 5C across the country on May 25.
On May 26, areas around Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Stoke on Trent, Birmingham, Worcester, Cardiff, Newcastle, Middlesborough, Carlisle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Scarborough are likely to experience rainy conditions, the weather maps have suggested.
May 27 is likely to be extremely bad for the northern areas as maps show Wick, Stornoway, Inverness and Portress smashed by heavy rain.

The Met Office's long-range forecast between May 27 and June 10 suggests that there is a possibility of rain, mostly in the western areas of the country.
It reads: "The start of the period may see some more in the way of rain and showers across, especially across western parts.
"Fine and dry weather is more likely to prevail towards the south and east and may start to develop more widely, but occasional spells of rain and showers are still possible, with potential for thunderstorms on some days.
"Overall, temperatures will most likely be around or above normal for the time of year."
