has issued an urgent for a chicken slices product with the use-by date code of May 30. The popular supermarket chain has taken swift action after discovering its Sliced Hot & Spicy Chicken Breast Slices product was packed with the wrong use-by date.
Customers who have bought the item in question are being urged to return them to their nearest Asda store. Asda said in a statement: "If you have purchased Asda Hot and Spicy Chicken Breast Slices with a sell by date of May 30, please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused."

In April, as the product may have contained milk and sulphites which are not declared on the packaging. The items affected had a use by date of April 25, and barcode, 5063089827178.
A statement from the firm said: "Some packs of ASDA Simple To Cook Asian Inspired Pork Belly Slices may contain Asda Simple To Cook Tomato & Mozzarella Pork Meatballs which include additional allergens milk and sulphites.
"This means that the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk and/ or sulphites."
Customers were advised if that had purchased the "ASDA Simple to Cook Asian Inspired Pork Belly Slices, Use By 25 APR", that they should "please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt."
Tesco has also issued a recall to shoppers stating that a cushion sold in the supermarket fails to meet safety requirements.
The Me to You Hugs and Kisses Cushion, manufactured by Carte Blanche Greetings, has been pulled from shelves with immediate effect.
Tesco explained that the recall was initiated because the cushion "failed safety testing and doesn't meet UK fire safety standards", although it did not share the specific issue.
