Twinkle Khanna, known for acting in films like Barsaat, Baadshah, Mela, Joru Ka Ghulam and Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, is now a successful author. After taking a sabbatical from acting in 2001, she wrote a couple of books and established herself as the highest-selling female author in 2018.
Twinkle Khanna's short story gets film adaptation After the popular non-fiction book, Mrs Funnybones, in 2015, Twinkle wrote The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, which was a collection of short stories. One of the tales has been adapted into a film. The story Salaam Noni Appa is made into a movie titled Go Noni Go. Go Noni Go is finally getting a premiere. While its theatrical release date is yet to be announced, the film based on Twinkle’s book will get its premiere at the ongoing MAMI (Mumbai Academy of Moving Image) Mumbai Film Festival. The film will be screened under the category of Gala Premiere on October 23. The film was announced in 2022. In a statement, Twinkle said, “Salaam Noni Appa, from my second book, loosely based on the relationship between my grandmother and her sister, was first adapted into a lovely play.
