TikToker Ambamelia Thought She Was Ripping Israeli Flags—They Were Greek

A TikTok user called Ambamelia ripped down a Greek flag hanging outside a restaurant in New Jersey. She later revealed that she thought it was that of Israel's. A video of her tearing down the flag is going viral on social media. The TikToker was visibly infuriated over a eatery which she thought was supporting Israel. She was then seen ripping down the Greek flags hanging outside the outlet. While tearing down the flags, she said, "Look at that sh*t! Free Palestine b***h! What are you looking at? You know there's a genocide? I don't stand for Zionism in Montclair."

Shortly after her actions, two staff members came out from the restaurant and clarified that the flag was of Greece. The bizarre incident has prompted many to respond on social media.

"She owes them new flags and an apology," one person said on X, platform formerly known as Twitter. "Her desire for her 20 seconds of fame kinda backfired on the ignorant woman. Instead of famous, she's infamous. Someone should explain the difference to her," another person added.

The restaurant has not put up any flags outside the set up following the incident. Restaurant Owner Responds To The IncidentThe restaurant owner Efi Mihalis first clarified that the incident had taken place on March 11, 2024. She then shared her statement saying that she had resorted to the police after the incident. She stated that other people present at the outlet were shocked by the incident, as reported by The Post.She then added, "It was not a skit as some people believe. This was not planned nor was it calculated any way. The young woman destroyed my property."
