Unni Mukundan's Marco Team Promises A Banger Promo Track By Shaan Rahman

On October 19, Saturday, the makers of Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan's highly-anticipated film Marco took to their social media to announce that renowned music director Shaan Rahman would be composing the promo track of the upcoming action thriller film. Directed by Haneef Adeni, it is a spin-off of his 2018 film Mikhael, which was headlined by Nivin Pauly. According to the makers, the film will be a violent one unlike any other that has been seen in Malayalam cinema till now. The film is slated to hit theatres this Christmas.

New Poster ReleasedOn the occasion of Unni Mukundan's birthday, the makers of the upcoming film dropped a new poster. The poster shows the lead actor dressed in a black suit, with blood stains on both his face and clothes, wearing sunglasses. A cigarette hangs from his mouth as his right arm, covered in flames but still in the suit, holds the severed head of a bald man. Directed by Haneef Adeni, it is a spin-off of his 2018 film Mikhael, which was headlined by Nivin Pauly. Shooting Wrapped Up RecentlyThe film's team recently announced that the film had wrapped up its shoot after nearly 100 days, and is gearing up for its theatrical release.Sharing the fact that they were "thrilled" to complete the "ambitious shooting schedule" of Marco, a recent press release from the producers stated, "What a wild ride it's been! We spent nearly 100 days on set, with an insane 60-day action sequence that's going to blow your minds. Major props to our action hero, Unni Mukundan, and the mastermind action director, Kalai Kingson, for making sure every shot is pure fire." The First Of Its KindFor the first time in the history of Malayalam cinema, Marco comes with the distinction of being a spin-off movie of a villain. This will be a full-length film based on the character of Marco Jr. played by Unni Mukundan in Nivin Pauly's action thriller film Mikhael. The film will delve into Marco's past and his introduction to the world of crime, and according to the makers, will be a violent film unlike any other that has been seen in Malayalam cinema till now. Other Cast DetailsWe had also reported that this big budget flick will also feature a new face, but a surname that is familiar nevertheless - Abhimanyu Shammy Thilakan, the grandson of veteran actor Thilakan, and son of Shammi Thilakan. Actor Riyaz Khan too was added to the cast recently in the midst of the shooting for the film's second schedule. Besides Unni Mukundan and Abhimanyu, the film also stars Siddique, Jagadish, Anson Paul, and Kabir Duhan Singh in important roles. The cinematography is by Chandru Selvaraj and the production is by Sharif Muhammad and Abdul Ghadaf under the banners of Cubes Entertainments and Unni Mukundan Films.
