Indore: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) is in the final phase of its PhD admission process scheduled for June 16. A total of 613 seats were announced across 32 subjects, with 524 seats in 22 National Eligibility Test-based subjects and 89 seats in 10 engineering disciplines.
For the NET-based admissions, 168 approved research guides will supervise candidates across the 22 subjects. In engineering disciplines, which will follow an entrance exam route, there are 36 recognised guides. The registration process for both categories is underway, and candidates can apply until May 25. The university clarified that applicants qualifying NET in June or December 2024 can apply for the 22 subjects.
Meanwhile, postgraduates with at least 55% marks are eligible to apply for the engineering subjects. Dr Ashesh Tiwari, Head of the PhD Cell, confirmed that the admission process is progressing smoothly, adding, "There are over 600 PhD seats this time, with over 500 in NET-based subjects." TNN
