Kanpur: A young married couple was discovered hanging in their house under mysterious circumstances in Harrajpur village under Etawah's Bakewar police station. The police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination. The couple living in a rented accommodation in Harrajpur, took their lives by hanging themselves from ceiling hooks.
First, Roshni (23) took her life. While the police were documenting her death, her husband Vishal (24), an auto-rickshaw driver, left ostensibly to fetch milk for their infant but proceeded to end his life. The couple had a four-month-old baby boy. According to reports, Roshni had requested Vishal to organise a 'mundan' ceremony for their child. When Vishal said that he needed to complete some auto-rickshaw trips, Roshni became distressed.
Bakewar police station officer inspector Bhupendra Singh Rathi and town in-charge SI Hakim Singh, accompanied by police forces, reached the location. ASP Rural Satyapal Singh and CO Bharthana Atul Pradhan also visited the scene. The police have started an investigation and arranged for post-mortem examinations of both deceased.
