WBJEE 2025: Exam overviewThe WBJEE 2025 examination will be conducted on a single day — April 27, 2025 — and split into two distinct sessions. The first session, designated for Paper 1 (Mathematics), will be held in the forenoon from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Following a short break, the second session will commence in the afternoon, with Paper 2 (Physics) scheduled from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Candidates must ensure timely arrival at their respective examination centres, as late entry will not be permitted.

Each paper will be conducted in a fully supervised environment, and students are advised to carry all required documents, including the printed admit card and a valid photo ID, to avoid any last-minute hurdles.

WBJEE 2025: Question Paper Structure
WBJEE 2025 will assess candidates’ aptitude through a pattern of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) spanning both subjects. The question paper is structured into three distinct categories:

  • Category 1: Each correct answer earns 1 mark. Incorrect responses attract a penalty of 0.25 marks.
  • Category 2: Each correct answer carries 2 marks. Wrong answers result in a deduction of 0.5 marks.
  • Category 3: Correct answers will fetch 2 marks. There is no negative marking in this category.
