Renowned chef, author, and Celebrity MasterChef judge Vikas Khanna is basking in the glow of two major milestones for his acclaimed New York restaurant, Bungalow. Known for his deep-rooted passion for Indian cuisine and storytelling through food, Vikas shared his latest achievements with pride and heartfelt gratitude.

Taking to social media, Khanna announced, "Celebrating 2 big milestones of our Bungalow. For an Indian Restaurant in New York City to be featured as BEST NEW RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD by Condé Nast Traveler is absolutely historical. Thank you @cntraveler @diviathani." Being recognized by Condé Nast Traveler marks a monumental moment for Indian cuisine globally, breaking barriers and setting new standards for fine dining in New York City.

The celebrations don't stop there. This Sunday, Bungalow will also complete 400 days of operation, a testament to its growing popularity and cultural impact. To honor this special occasion, Khanna revealed that every table will receive green cardamom pods sourced from Kerala — a fragrant symbol of home, tradition, and authenticity.

Vikas has consistently credited his mother as the soul behind Bungalow. Sharing an emotional tribute, he wrote, “Thank you Maa for being the magic behind Bungalow. You lifted me when I was totally crumbled and broken. You said I have to do this one time—for Radha’s dream. A restaurant that some would call a home.” Her unwavering support laid the emotional foundation for what has become one of North America’s most-booked Indian restaurants.

Adding another feather to his cap, Vikas Khanna was recently named "Person of the Year" by Harvard University’s South Asian Association. “This recognition is not just an award—it’s a promise," he shared. "A commitment to continue honoring our culture through every dish, every detail.”

With these milestones, Khanna not only celebrates personal victories but also elevates Indian cuisine on the world stage.
