With the current NBA season nearing its close, fans already have a substitute to quench their thirst for some basketball fun in the off-season. Former NBA legends come together to play a quicker version of the game in Ice Cube’s league. The latest entrant to the club is Kemba Walker, who will be joining the BIG3 this season. Walker is currently the player enhancement coach for the NBA team Charlotte Hornets .

Kemba Walker will be playing in BIG3’s upcoming seasonDropping the latest update about the veteran NBA players’ league, Chris Haynes wrote on X, “Four-time NBA All-Star point guard Kemba Walker has reached an agreement to play for @IceCube’s @TheBig3 for the 2025 season, league sources tell me.”

Kemba Walker’s fans were delighted to see him play again. A fan reacted, “All the stars are here!” Another wrote, “Delighted that Kemba is healthy enough to keep playing.” One more wrote, “Can’t wait to watch Kemba, Dwight, and Beasley play summer hoops with @thebig3,” along with fire emojis. “This might actually be pretty entertaining,” wrote an NBA fan. A tweet also read: “Kemba. Dwight. Must see.” An X user also called Walker “the perfect player for this league.” “He is about to COOK,” wrote one. A fan also mentioned: “Uh oh y'all in trouble now, it's about to be a lot of broken ankles.”





Recently, Dwight Howard, nicknamed Superman, also joined the BIG3 league. Kemba Walker played for the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, and AS Monaco during his NBA career. He is currently an assistant coach for the Charlotte Hornets, and some on social media were in doubt if he had quit as a coach to take part in the Ice Cube league. But that’s not the case.

Big3 is a 3-on-3 basketball league founded by rapper and actor Ice Cube and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz. There are 12 teams in the league, which include many former NBA veterans and other international players. Its rules differ from those followed in the NBA, and they now form the core of a new basketball variant, Fireball3.
