He is still missed by the Dallas Mavericks squad; his former teammate, Naji Marshall ’s kind words prove it beyond doubt. Marshall took a trip down memory lane and recalled the best moments with Doncic.

The Los Angeles Lakers got Luka Doncic in a blockbuster trade this year, a trade that stirred the basketball world. His former teammate, Naji Marshall, spoke his heart out on a podcast, remembering how it was playing with Doncic. Reminiscing about Luka’s time with the Dallas Mavericks and the camaraderie they shared while talking on a podcast, he said:


“Luca Luca just the chillest guy ever, bro. Like he just feel like he his best friend from day one, bro. Like he just a great dude, bro. Never mad, just always happy, bro. He just a hall of fame like flamethrower when it comes to basketball.”

Naji Marshall considered Luka a strong candidate for the Hall of Fame and acknowledged his friendly gestures and positive attitude towards teammates. It shows how well-knit the Mavericks camp was when Luka was in it.



Luka Doncic performed decently in playoffs while playing on Los Angeles Lakers’ side


Luka Doncic brought the depth the Los Angeles Lakers needed. Though his presence didn’t prove to be the winning guarantee for the Lakers, he performed decently in all the playoff games. Recapping Doncic’s scores in the playoff games, listed here are his performance figures:


  • Game 1: 37 points in a 117–95 loss.


  • Game 2: 31 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists in a 94–85 win.








  • Game 3: 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists in a 116–104 loss.


  • Game 4: 38 points in a 116–113 loss.


  • Game 5: 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists in a 103–96 loss.

Doncic had to deal with a back injury during the playoffs, which did impact his performance negatively in some games. He averaged 30.2 points, 7 rebounds, and 5.8 assists, and delivered a 45.2% field-goal rate.

After the Luka Doncic debacle, the Dallas Mavericks have another chance to bolster their lineup with the first spot allotted to them in the lottery system. They are expected to use their position to lock the No.1 pick, Cooper Flagg. Whatever the result of trades in June, Luka Doncic is not going to return to the Mavericks any sooner.
