All three senior players—Jimmy Butler, Stephen Curry, and Draymond Green—expressed optimism about playing in the next NBA season as they spoke to the media following the Golden State Warriors’ loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. While they each have about two more years remaining in their championship window, they emphasized that form and fitness matter more than the timeline. Curry said he prefers to focus on one season at a time, while Butler believes that as long as they stay fit, age and years don’t really matter.
Jimmy Butler, Stephen Curry on their future plansThey are all under contract for the next two years, which many view as potentially the final stretch of their championship window. Jimmy Butler, who joined the Golden State Warriors in February, said, “If we win some, it could be longer than that. Because I still think we have a lot of great basketball ahead of us. I don’t think this age thing is anything with the way we take care of our bodies.”
Talking about his two-year contract, Stephen Curry said, "Yes but also I'm just looking forward to next year. Nothing is guaranteed in terms of you being competitive or being a competitor. ... We want this ride to last as long as possible, but it's about what does this team need for next year. Answering those questions over the summer, everybody preparing themselves individually to get through another 82-game season. Hopefully with a little comfort room down the stretch so we don't have to have a two month gauntlet just to make the playoffs. That's all we're really focused on right now."

Curry is currently recovering from his hamstring injury and could have returned for Game 6 had the Warriors survived Game 5. Green also addressed a question about “ageing” and said that they will obviously get older every year.
