Federal Bureau of Investigation chief Kash Patel on Monday hailed the arrest of terrorist Harpreet Singh in the United States and assured that the accused, wanted in India for multiple terror attacks in Punjab, will be brought to justice.
Patel stated that the FBI's Sacramento division coordinated the investigation with Indian authorities. "CAPTURED: HARPREET SINGH, part of an alleged foreign terrorist gang, here illegally in the United States, who we believe was involved in planning multiple attacks on police stations both in India and the United States," Patel said. Harvard sues Trump administration over funding freeze
Harvard University has filed a lawsuit challenging a $2.2 billion federal funding block by the Trump administration, calling it a violation of the First Amendment and federal laws. Harvard University has filed its lawsuit in a Massachusetts federal court, and named several other universities targeted by the US president. "This case involves the government's efforts to use the withholding of federal funding as leverage to gain control of academic decision making at Harvard. ED summons Mahesh Babu in Hyderabad real estate scam
Mahesh Babu had allegedly endorsed dubious projects of Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group. According to sources in ED, he had received Rs 5.9 crore for endorsing projects of Sai Surya Developers. Of this, Rs 3.4 crore was paid through cheque and 2.5 crore by cash. ED officials suspect the cash component forms part of laundered money collected through fraudulent practices. ED had launched its money-laundering probe based on FIRs by Telangana police against Narendra Surana, director of Bhagyanagar Properties Ltd., K Sathish Chandra Gupta, proprietor of Sai Surya Developers, and others. The entities allegedly collected crores in advance from unsuspecting buyers by offering plots in unauthorised layouts, making multiple sales of the same plots, and providing false registration assurances.
