NEW DELHI: India secured an uncontested position in the United Nations Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting ( ISAR ) for the 2025–2027 period.
The Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations, New York, made this announcement on X.
According to their statement, India will maintain its commitment to advancing global accounting standards. In its capacity as an ISAR member, India is positioned to significantly influence the development of financial reporting structures that promote transparency, responsibility and uniformity across countries.
Operating under the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development ( UNCTAD ), ISAR serves as an essential organisation focused on enhancing worldwide accounting standards and corporate disclosure practices.
