President Donald Trump said his second term is different from the first one, as now he has both the country and the world to run. "The first time, I had two things to do -- run the country and survive; I had all these crroked guys," he said in an interview with The Atlantic published Monday. "And the second time, I run the country and the world," he added. "I'm having a lot of fun, considering what I do ... You know, what I do is such serious stuff."
The interview comes as Trump is going to complete the first 100 days in his second term -- with his approval ratings falling abysmally. After he gave an interview to TIME, he agreed to sit down with The Atlantic which exposed the major SignalGate of his defence department -- that his defense secretary leaked the Yemen war plan on a Signal group which had Atlantic journalist Jeffrey Goldberg.
"I am doing this interview out of curiosity, and as a competition with myself, just to see if it's possible for The Atlantic to be 'truthful,'" Trump said in a Truth Social post last week ahead of the sitdown.
Trump on potential 2028 run
