April 17, 2025 — As anticipation builds around the next addition to Honor’s performance-focused lineup, the Honor GT Pro has officially been teased by the company ahead of its expected launch. Positioned above the standard Honor GT, the GT Pro will offer significant upgrades, making it a powerful gaming and multimedia flagship in the mid-premium segment.
Honor GT Pro Design and Display FeaturesShared by Honor GT series product manager Charlie Du on Weibo, official renders show the Honor GT Pro featuring:
-
A flat AMOLED display with a center-aligned hole-punch camera
-
A 144Hz refresh rate panel optimized for gaming
-
Oasis Polarized Eye Protection Screen for reduced glare and enhanced comfort
-
A 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded in-display for fast, secure authentication
The device is also confirmed to come with Rhino glass protection and a metal mid-frame, enhancing both durability and aesthetics.
Performance Upgrades: Gaming-Grade InternalsThe Honor GT Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a step up from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 used in the Honor GT. It is paired with:
-
LPDDR5X RAM
-
UFS 4.1 storage
This setup promises flagship-level speed and efficiency for demanding tasks like gaming, video editing, and multitasking.
Audio and positioning enhancements include:
-
1216 symmetrical dual speakers, similar to the Honor Magic 7 series
-
Dual-band GPS and triple-band Beidou for high-precision navigation
While Honor has not yet revealed full camera specs, based on the Honor GT’s setup, the GT Pro is expected to feature:
-
50MP dual rear camera system
-
16MP front-facing camera
The phone is likely to ship with MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15, featuring gaming optimizations and Honor’s in-house AI enhancements.
Battery and Charging (Expected)Given the Honor GT’s 5,300mAh battery with 100W fast charging, the GT Pro is expected to match or exceed this capacity — possibly introducing faster or more efficient power management.
Honor GT vs GT Pro: A Tier AboveThe Honor GT, launched in December 2024 in China starting at CNY 2,199 (approx. ₹25,000), already offered premium specs like a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 3,840Hz PWM dimming and up to 1TB of storage. The GT Pro is positioned two levels above, indicating a more premium price and expanded feature set.
The launch date for the Honor GT Pro has not been confirmed, but its official teasers suggest an imminent debut.
